LIBERTY BASEMENT SOLUTIONS ## Job Description -- Basement Waterproofing & Foundation Laborer Position: Basement Waterproofing & Foundation Laborer Department: Basement Solutions / Field Operations Reports To: Crew Leader / Field Supervisor Job Location: Various Job Sites -- Central Ohio Employment Type: Full-Time ### Position Summary Liberty Basement Solutions is seeking motivated, dependable laborers to assist with basement waterproofing, foundation repair, drainage installation, and structural repair projects. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving excavation, concrete removal and replacement, drainage systems, waterproofing materials, and structural repair support. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, willing to learn specialized basement repair techniques, and capable of working in a team environment. ### Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Assist with interior and exterior basement waterproofing installations. - Perform excavation, trenching, digging, and backfilling by hand or with equipment when properly trained and authorized. - Assist with installing interior drainage systems, drain tile, sump pumps, discharge lines, and related waterproofing components. - Break up and remove concrete floors and other materials using appropriate tools. - Mix, pour, finish, and patch concrete as needed. - Assist with foundation crack repairs, wall stabilization, and structural reinforcement installations. - Prepare surfaces for waterproofing membranes, sealants, and other repair products. - Assist with installation of vapor barriers, moisture-control systems, and crawl space encapsulation materials. - Carry materials, remove debris, and maintain organized work areas. - Operate jackhammers, demolition tools, drills, saws, and other tools safely after appropriate instruction and training. - Protect customers' homes, landscaping, driveways, and surrounding property during work. - Follow job specifications and crew leader instructions to complete projects correctly and efficiently. - Identify and report potential structural concerns, water intrusion issues, or unsafe site conditions. - Follow established safety procedures for excavation, dust control, confined or restricted spaces, and equipment operation. - Complete required time records, daily reports, and other company documentation. - Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in clean and serviceable condition. - Perform additional waterproofing, foundation repair, and general labor duties as assigned. ### Qualifications & Requirements - Construction, excavation, concrete, waterproofing, or foundation repair experience preferred but not required. - Willingness to perform physically demanding labor. - Ability to follow directions and learn specialized installation procedures. - Familiarity with basic hand and power tools preferred. - Ability to work in basements, crawl spaces, trenches, and outdoor environments when conditions are safe and appropriate. - Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic. - Ability to work cooperatively with a crew. - Reliable transportation to assigned job sites or designated reporting locations. - Commitment to customer service, safety, and quality workmanship. ### Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, using assistance or equipment for heavier loads. Ability to kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, dig, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in confined or restricted areas when properly assessed and authorized.
