Full job description
The Youth Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily planning and implementation of one or more of the "core" programs for Youth Club members as directed by the Program Director. Responsibilities: Assist the Child and Youth Services Specialist in planning and implementing daily and weekly program activities. Maintain control and accountability of the whereabouts and safety of children and youth in compliance with local and DOD policies and accreditation standards. Assist in preparing and carrying out planned activities for different age groups and varying development stages within those age groups. Track participant accomplishments, long and short-term goals, effort, and evaluations as appropriate for age and type of instruction. Interact with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques in a positive nurturing environment. Skills: Good communication skills Patience Creativity Flexibility Ability to work as a team
