Overview
The National Accounts Superintendent is responsible for the field execution of commercial construction, facility improvement, and mechanical service projects supporting key national account clients in the Annapolis, MD market and surrounding locations. This role serves as the primary field leader for assigned projects and account work, coordinating subcontractors, managing site safety, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality standards, and supporting consistent delivery across client sites. The Superintendent works closely with National Account leadership, Project Managers, clients, facility personnel, building engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to complete work safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Travel to assigned client locations may be required.
The ideal candidate is a proactive field leader who can manage multiple priorities across national account projects, build strong client relationships, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safe, high-quality execution. This individual is highly organized, communicates effectively, adapts to changing site conditions, and takes ownership of project and account commitments from mobilization through final closeout.
Pay: 50.00 - 70.00/hr. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage field activities for assigned national account projects from mobilization through closeout.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform crews across multiple trades and client locations.

Review drawings, specifications, submittals, scopes of work, work orders, and contract documents to ensure compliance with client and company requirements.

Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules in support of project, account, and client milestone schedules.

Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues affecting safety, quality, schedule, budget, or client operations.

Coordinate deliveries, equipment, material staging, access, permits, and site logistics to maintain productivity at active client facilities.

Serve as a primary on-site point of contact for national account clients, facility managers, building engineers, occupants, subcontractors, and vendors.

Maintain proactive communication regarding work activities, site impacts, schedule updates, risks, and mitigation plans.

Coordinate work within occupied and operational facilities while minimizing disruption to client operations and building occupants.

Participate in project and account meetings and provide timely updates on status, risks, labor, materials, and required decisions.

Promote and enforce all company, client, site-specific, and regulatory safety requirements.

Conduct site safety meetings, inspections, and audits and reinforce a consistent safety culture across assigned locations.

Ensure subcontractor compliance with site-specific safety plans, client standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable codes.

Stop work when necessary to address unsafe conditions, quality concerns, or noncompliance with client requirements.

Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for major work activities and document corrective actions.

Verify materials and equipment comply with approved submittals, scopes of work, client standards, and project specifications.

Ensure work is installed in accordance with contract documents, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and national account standards.

Coordinate testing, commissioning, startup activities, inspections, punch list completion, and client turnover.

Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, work progress, weather conditions, deliveries, site conditions, and account activities.

Track and maintain RFI logs, submittal logs, field directives, change documentation, work orders, and other project records.

Maintain accurate as-built drawings and field documentation throughout construction and project execution.

Document subcontractor and client meetings and distribute meeting minutes and action items as required.

Support project closeout and account turnover, including warranties, O&M manuals, training, deficiency resolution, and final documentation.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Site Supervisor, Project Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role.

Experience managing commercial construction, facility improvement, mechanical, or service projects in occupied facilities.

Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors across multiple trades, projects, or client locations.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work, work orders, and contract documents.

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, quality control, and project documentation.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with construction or project management software is preferred.

Strong communication, leadership, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
