Full job description

How You’ll Shape Our Success

We’re building a stronger HR business partner model at TSS, and this newly created role will help shape what that looks like.

As our Associate HR Business Partner, you’ll be the dedicated HR partner for our East Coast teams while owning several company-wide HR programs. You’ll coach leaders, navigate employee relations, and help build practical, scalable people practices as we grow.

If you like solving problems, improving what already exists, and building what doesn’t, you’ll do well here.

What You’ll Take Ownership Of

  • Partner with East Coast leaders on performance, employee development, team dynamics, and everyday people decisions.

  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, performance management, and separations.

  • Support workforce changes and organizational initiatives in partnership with HR leadership.

  • Own company-wide offboarding and use exit and turnover data to identify trends and retention risks.

  • Manage employee records and retention practices, including employee files, internal offer letters, retention schedule purges, and preparation of records for legal review.

  • Own the Employee Handbook and policy administration, including policy updates, labor law postings, multi-state compliance, implementation, and employee questions.

  • Manage assigned HR Support tickets through resolution, ensuring employees and leaders receive timely, consistent support.

  • Build and deliver employee training and support engagement and leadership initiatives.

  • Support our UK and Mexico employee populations by providing process guidance, tools, and templates to the HR Manager and local partners.

  • Use data, technology, and AI to improve HR processes, identify trends, and build scalable solutions.

  • Support strategic HR projects and cross-functional priorities, including rollout planning and employee communications.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and manager coaching

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment practices.

  • Strong judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Workday experience is strongly preferred, particularly as we transition from BambooHR to Workday.

  • Experience supporting a distributed or field-based workforce is preferred.

  • ADP, SHRM-CP/PHR, or international HR experience are a plus.

  • Most importantly, you’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where not every process has been built yet—and you’re excited to help build it.

Your Day-to-Day Environment

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. You’ll need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of one of our key East Coast markets:

Travel is approximately 10% and may be minimal at times, primarily to support East Coast locations.

Perks, Pay, and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,305–$115,468 annually, based on location, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Short- and long-term disability and life insurance

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Paid holidays and vacation
