Senior Consultant, Product Manager

Help shape and deliver products that advance Deloitte's Human Capital offerings. As a Senior Consultant, Product Manager, you will serve primarily as a Product Owner while contributing to product management activities for an assigned HC Forward product, platform, or workstream. You will translate product strategy, stakeholder priorities, and user feedback into actionable delivery requirements while helping inform roadmaps, business cases, product metrics, and portfolio decisions. Working across product, engineering, design, and business teams, you will help deliver solutions that create value for Deloitte and its clients.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant, Product Manager on the HC Forward team, you will be responsible for...

• Own and maintain a single, prioritized product backlog; translate product strategy, business requirements, and user needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Make day-to-day backlog scope and sequencing decisions based on business value, dependencies, risk, and stakeholder input; escalate tradeoffs that affect roadmaps, budgets, or cross-product commitments.

• Contribute to product vision, roadmaps, market and user research, business cases, and product metrics in collaboration with product management leadership and portfolio stakeholders.

• Partner with delivery leads, Scrum Masters, engineering, and design teams to plan and execute delivery increments; participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Clarify requirements for delivery teams, validate completed work against acceptance criteria and definitions of done, and communicate priorities, progress, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders and sponsors.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree

• 5+ years of experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst roles, including ownership of a product backlog in an Agile delivery environment.

• 4+ years of experience translating business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• 2+ years of experience contributing to product strategy, product roadmaps, or business case development.

• 2+ years of experience working on Agile or Scrum delivery teams.

• Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

• Experience in a consulting or professional services organization.

• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps to manage Agile work, or an Agile/Scrum or product management certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner, Professional Scrum Product Owner, Scaled Agile Framework Product Owner/Product Manager, Pragmatic Institute, Association of International Product Marketing and Management or AI Products certification.

• Experience using data from a relational database to support product prioritization and decision-making.

• Experience applying user-experience research or design-thinking practices to product development.

• Experience applying product management frameworks, including Jobs-to-be-Done, Objectives and Key Results, Reach, Impact, Confidence, and Effort, or Weighted Shortest Job First.

• Experience participating in portfolio or investment governance processes.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,700 to $218,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
