Full job description

The Project Scheduler will support the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) Capital Improvement Program by developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules. Working with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, this person will help track progress against approved plans, identify potential schedule issues, and provide clear, timely information to support project and program decisions.

Here's what you'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Primavera P6, incorporating approved scope, activities, logic, durations, milestones, and key interfaces.

  • Work with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to collect schedule updates and verify reported progress, remaining durations, and forecast dates.

  • Review contractor schedules and schedule updates for completeness, logic, progress, and alignment with program requirements; communicate questions and findings to the project team.

  • Analyze critical and near-critical paths, schedule changes, and potential impacts to key milestones. Explain schedule variances and their likely effects on project delivery.

  • Identify emerging delays, constraints, and schedule risks. Work with project teams to evaluate mitigation strategies, recovery options, and changes needed to protect project milestones.

  • Maintain schedule baselines and records of approved changes, progress updates, and relevant assumptions to support reliable schedule comparisons over time.

  • Prepare monthly schedule reports, dashboards, and supporting materials that summarize progress, forecast dates, critical activities, variances, and schedule risks for project and program stakeholders.

  • Support project planning, forecasting, and program controls activities by providing schedule information and coordinating schedule inputs across projects.

  • Participate in project review meetings and present schedule findings in a clear, practical manner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of project scheduling experience.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience supporting infrastructure, transportation, or capital improvement projects.

  • Working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and schedule analysis.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience with water or wastewater projects.

  • Project scheduling certification, such as PSP or an AACE credential.

  • Familiarity with project controls and earned value principles.
