Job Description

Our metal manufacturing client is looking for a Facilities Technician to join their team in Turtle Creek, PA. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the safety, reliability and operational readiness of the facility, equipment and grounds at both the Turtle Creek and North Versailles locations. This includes preventive maintenance, breakdown response, vendor coordination and support of facility and production projects. The Technician is expected to take ownership of facility upkeep, communicate proactively and work professionally to minimize disruptions to production. The role also serves as backup delivery driver when production requires. This person will be a hands-on Facilities Technician supporting two manufacturing plants and helping keep the facilities, production equipment, and grounds safe and operational. They’ll handle preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment including fork trucks, cranes, hoists, presses, CNC spinning equipment, compressors, air lines, and other facility systems. They’ll also respond to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and complete minor repairs to help get production back up and running, escalating larger repairs when needed. Additional responsibilities include coordinating outside vendors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, doors, and snow removal, maintaining inspection/maintenance records, supporting equipment moves and plant improvement projects, and scheduling maintenance for company vehicles. This person may also serve as a backup delivery driver when needed.

This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. The pay rate range is $22-$27/hr. Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Friday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Environment / Physical Requirements:

Manufacturing/shop environment with noise, heat, and cold Must be comfortable climbing ladders and using aerial lifts Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Hands-on role across two plant facilities

Skills and Requirements

5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems Experience troubleshooting and completing minor equipment repairs Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; no CDL required Comfortable using email and completing basic computer work/maintenance documentation Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance needs, and stay organized Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders/aerial lifts Fork truck certification, or willingness to become certified upon hire Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment such as presses, lathes, saws, CNC equipment, or material handling equipment Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspections Experience coordinating outside maintenance vendors/contractors
