Medical Retriever

Description

We are seeking Medical Record Retrieval Specialists to support healthcare Risk Adjustment and Quality initiatives. This role focuses on retrieving medical records from provider systems and ensuring records are accurately collected and documented.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medical records from multiple provider EHR/EMR systems

• Research provider and internal systems to locate required records

• Complete accurate data entry

• Generate and send medical record requests to providers

• Make occasional outbound calls to providers to help obtain records

• Handle sensitive medical information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy requirements

• Meet strict deadlines and project timelines

• Assist with additional administrative and retrieval tasks as needed

Additional Details

• Fully remote with occasional onsite requirements

• Must live within 50 miles of Mountlake Terrace, WA to pick up equipment and attend occasional in-person meetings

• No overtime

• Reliable internet required; minimum 100 Mbps download speed

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience

• High school diploma or GED

• Healthcare, medical records, EMR, or administrative experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable working with multiple systems and databases

• Strong research and communication skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume work

• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
