Job Description
Insight Global is hiring for a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist who will be responsible for all aspects of company resilience related to three main areas of focus:
- Establishing the framework, requirements, management, training, and governance of business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures companywide.
- Developing business continuity and disaster recovery management standards, guidelines and procedures.
- Driving efforts across the organization to validate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans inclusive of related third-party risk mitigation activities.
Primary Duties:
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to establish, maintain, and mature a business continuity program, ensuring that the program aligns with industry standards and meets regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business partners to conduct and periodically review business impact analysis (BIA), outlining critical business processes, dependencies and resources, vendors, and based on the impact of disruption, set recovery objectives.
- Establish realistic risk thresholds together with Risk Management partners. Collaborate with business partners to identify, assess and support business in managing business continuity risks.
- Collaborate with Vendor Management to ensure that critical vendors comply with business continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop business continuity plans based on business impact analysis, ensuring the ability to continue business operations during a disruption.
- Plan and conduct business continuity exercises with business partners, using results to improve continuity plans and the overall program.
- Collaborate with technology partners on development of technical disaster recovery plans for the critical infrastructure and critical systems.
- Collaborate with technology partners to plan and conduct technology recovery tests, and measure Disaster - Recovery capabilities to ensure the ability to perform within recovery time and recovery point objectives.
- Develop and deliver awareness and training programs (including online training content) to staff on business continuity, technology recovery, and enterprise resilience topics.
- Support responses to customer requests, audits, and maintenance of documents related to enterprise resilience.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and maintain crisis response planning, management, and communication.
- Develop and provide BCM program data for scorecards and reports, and brief stakeholders.
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with business continuity management and/or disaster recovery.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-3.
- Undergraduate degree (Information Systems, Computer Science or similar preferred) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Professional certification such as Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or similar.
