Full job description

❖ Why LinqAlpha Our mission is to build the alpha intelligence layer for global public markets. We equip portfolio managers, analysts, and sales teams at the world’s leading hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks with AI-native deep research, meeting intelligence, and structured / alternative data analytics that compress days of institutional workflow into minutes. We are not incrementally improving how finance runs. We are rebuilding the substrate underneath it.

Why a vertical AI layer for institutional finance matters. Every serious investor asked us the same question during our Series A: what stops a horizontal model provider from doing what LinqAlpha does? The answer is where finance actually lives. Real investment workflows sit inside proprietary data, regulated environments, and years of institutional context that no general model has access to. We build the vertical layer that turns raw capability into decision-grade output the buy-side actually trusts. Today we deliver as SaaS. Next is API and MCP-based agent delivery. Ultimately we deliver as VPC and on-prem inside the largest Wall Street institutions. That progression is the moat, and it is not something a horizontal model provider can lift and shift.

This is a defining moment to join. We just closed a $22M Series A, co-led by AVP (formerly AXA Venture Partners) and GFT Ventures with our existing lead Atinum Investment following on, joined by a global syndicate that includes Z Venture Capital and SBI Investment in Japan, Betatron in Hong Kong and Singapore, SV Investment, East Ventures, NuVentures, and leading Korean institutions across Samsung Securities, Mirae Asset, Shinhan, NH, and Hana. Almost every investor is already deeply engaged with us. This round is not just capital, it is a distribution engine. We have 70+ paying institutional clients, 90%+ retention, and a plan to grow 10x every 12 months across six connected offices: New York, Boston, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, and London.

The bar inside the team is high. We take talent density seriously, and we take our users even more seriously. Our team is sharp, motivated, and deeply committed to the mission. We take ownership of complex problems and stay relentlessly focused on our users. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, demand excellence in yourself and the people around you, and want to help set the standard for AI-native infrastructure in institutional finance, this is where you should be.

❖ The Role We are looking for an exceptional, relationship-driven sales professional to own LinqAlpha’s North America book of business. This is a role for a builder who converts the world’s most sophisticated buy-side clients into long-term partners. You will work directly with the founding team to build the US territory from the ground up, and shape how LinqAlpha shows up inside the largest Wall Street institutions.

❖ Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, tailored demos, negotiation, and close
  • Grow and retain enterprise buy-side accounts post-sale, driving renewal and expansion
  • Sell into hedge funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, pensions, insurance, and IB research desks
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and research to translate live client workflows into product priorities
  • Represent LinqAlpha at industry events and in senior conversations across North America
  • Feed real market intelligence back into the roadmap so what we ship reflects what the buy-side actually needs

❖ What You Will Need

  • 5 to 10 years of financial services sales experience with a track record of consistent, high-quality closes
  • Background at a fintech, data / research vendor, or financial terminal provider (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P, MSCI, FactSet, or similar)
  • Existing buy-side relationships preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a startup environment with real ambiguity
  • Bachelor’s degree required. CFA or MBA a plus

❖ Deal Profile ACV $20K to $200K+. Sales cycles typically 2 to 8 weeks (SMB to enterprise).

❖ Compensation

  • Base salary: USD $120K to $200K, benchmarked to experience
  • Performance incentive: 10% of revenue generated, uncapped
  • Equity participation and full benefits package

❖ Who You Are

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments. You care deeply about what you do, and you are genuinely excited to work at a startup that ships at high frequency
  • You are ambitious. You find energy in problems others think are too big or too complex to move
  • You are curious. You find real joy in learning about AI, technology, and how institutional finance actually works under the hood
  • You are an owner. You are self-directed and comfortable operating in ambiguity, from a blank pipeline to a signed enterprise agreement
  • You are collaborative, organized, thoughtful, and kind

❖ Why Join LinqAlpha

  • Up and to the right. 70+ paying institutional clients, 90%+ retention, growing 10x every 12 months. Real momentum, and we are still early
  • Extraordinary team. We take talent density seriously. You will do the best work of your career alongside some of the sharpest people in AI and institutional finance
  • A one-of-one problem. Bringing AI to the core of how institutional finance runs, from research to portfolio construction to client workflows, is one of the most consequential problems in the market today. There is nowhere else you can work on it at this scale
  • Real ownership. You own a territory, a client roster, and a revenue line. Your work directly shapes how LinqAlpha shows up in the largest financial institutions in the world
  • Always at the frontier. We work at the edge of what the best models can do and turn it into products the buy-side actually trusts. If you are obsessed with AI, this is where it is happening
  • A network built for distribution. Our Series A syndicate spans AXA Group, GFT Ventures, Atinum, Z Venture Capital, SBI, Betatron, SV Investment, East Ventures, NuVentures, and leading Korean institutions. Almost every investor is already deeply engaged with us. Your accounts benefit from that gravity
