Supply Chain Design Specialist positions offered by Volvo Group North America, LLC (Greensboro, NC). Analyze, optimize, and enhance Volvo Group’s global spare parts distribution network, working closely with our Brands and regional teams to unlock the full potential of the service business and fuel its growth. Support supply chain reviews, leveraging data-driven insights and a strong business mindset to identify optimization opportunities and drive strategic improvements to unlock the full potential of the service business. Optimize and enhance the supply chain network to ensure efficient material flow, meeting customer demands while maximizing spare parts sales. This involves refining warehousing, and distribution strategies, and the seamless flow of spare parts to effectively support customer requirements. Simulate and evaluate the impact of various supply chain designs on service levels, sustainability, and costs, ensuring an optimal balance between customer satisfaction, performance and efficiency. Develop and enhance supply chain simulation tools and data visualization models to support informed decision-making. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders in a clear, structured, and actionable manner. Collaborate with our Brands, regional SML teams and support functions to drive continuous improvement and innovation across the supply chain.

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field and 5 years of experience working in logistics operations

Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:

Using SQL, Python, SAP, and Power BI
-
Developing and deploying Machine Learning models
-
Working with lean management and continuous improvements concepts
-
Handling and analyzing complex data
-
Working with global supply chain concepts, including end to end flows

Position reports to Greensboro, NC office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
We are offering a salary of $126,232 to $146,800 per year.
