Job Title: Systems Engineer

Pay Rate: $89.20 per hour

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, integration, and certification of aircraft systems. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and certification authorities, you'll help ensure that complex aircraft systems meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will directly support innovative aircraft programs from concept through certification and entry into service.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and supporting aircraft system designs and modifications, including:

  • Creating and maintaining key engineering documentation, including:

  • Technical Requirements Documents

  • System Schematics

  • Supplier Requirement Documents

  • System Descriptions

  • Interface Control Documents

  • Wiring Diagrams

  • Certification Plans

  • Functional Test Requirements

  • Equipment Qualification Test Plans and Reports

  • Aircraft-Level Test Plans and Reports

  • Design Compliance Reports

  • Certification Issue Papers

  • Performing requirements management, validation, and verification activities.

  • Supporting aircraft modification and system integration projects.

  • Reviewing installation drawings, qualification test data, and engineering reports.

  • Analyzing ground and flight test data to verify system functionality and performance.

  • Supporting change management activities, including:

  • Technical research

  • Concept development

  • Trade studies

  • Design reviews

  • Impact assessments

  • Implementation planning

  • Participating in internal and external design reviews and governance meetings.

  • Coordinating with suppliers and supporting technical subcontract management activities.

  • Ensuring compliance with FAA, TCCA, and EASA certification requirements.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, safe, and certifiable aerospace solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering or related aerospace engineering experience.

  • Experience with ARP4754A and system development processes for civil aircraft.

  • Working knowledge of FAA, TCCA, and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.

  • Understanding of aircraft system safety processes and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with RTCA DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across engineering teams, leadership, customers, and suppliers.

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Commercial Derivative Military aircraft programs.

  • AutoCAD experience.

  • Previous involvement in aircraft system certification programs.

  • Experience supporting supplier management and technical oversight initiatives.

  • Familiarity with aircraft modification and integration projects within a regulated aerospace environment.

Pay Details: $89.20 per hour
