CAD Operator

Build a Career in Design and Manufacturing

Are you tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and looking for an opportunity to learn a specialized skill? We're seeking a CAD Operator to join our team and create computer-generated tooling designs used to produce everyday products such as cereal boxes, pizza boxes, retail displays, movie standees, and packaging materials.

No prior CAD experience? No problem. We provide hands-on training and are looking for motivated individuals with strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems, and turning concepts into real-world products.

What You'll Do

  • Create tooling designs using CAD software for a wide variety of cardboard and packaging products.

  • Learn how to translate customer specifications and blueprints into accurate digital designs.

  • Support production by ensuring tooling templates meet quality and manufacturing requirements.

  • Process customer orders and maintain accurate records, including order entry, part numbers, and service requests.

  • Track projects and communicate updates using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

  • Collaborate with both office and production teams to ensure projects move smoothly from design to manufacturing.

  • Troubleshoot design challenges and make adjustments as needed to meet customer requirements.

  • Develop expertise in specialized CAD systems and manufacturing processes.

  • Exposure to CAD software, drafting, blueprint reading, or technical drawings.

  • Data entry, order processing, or customer service experience.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

  • Familiarity with gaming, design software, or other computer-intensive applications that demonstrate strong navigation and technology skills.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position within a collaborative office located inside a family-owned manufacturing facility. You'll work closely with both the CAD team and production staff, occasionally visiting the production floor to review projects and coordinate tooling needs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Pay: $18.50/hr with weekly paychecks

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
