Solutions Engineer - Splunk

What You'll Do

As a Solutions Engineer (Splunk Security), you are the trusted technical authority driving customer success, SOC modernization, and revenue growth across enterprise accounts. You will partner with Account Executives to position coordinated Cisco and Splunk architectures, displacing competitors and solving sophisticated security challenges.

• Architect & Influence: Lead technical pre-sales engagements with CISOs, SOC managers, and security architects to build end-to-end Threat Detection, Investigation, and Response (TDIR) and data platform solutions.
• Modernize SecOps with Agentic AI: Build and demonstrate agentic AI and automated workflows that streamline alert triage, accelerate investigation, and reduce MTTD/MTTR.
• Lead Technical Campaigns: Deliver high-impact architectural whiteboards, product demonstrations, and technical Proof of Value (PoV) that prove business value.
• Cross-Architecture Integration: Position Cisco's unified security portfolio alongside Splunk, growing into full-stack observability and cloud-native telemetry (OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, Multi-Cloud).
• Feedback Loop: Interlock with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and emerging market trends.

Who You'll Work With

You will join a high-performing, collaborative Solutions Engineering team partnered closely with Enterprise Account Executives, Product Specialists, and Customer Success teams. Externally, you will engage C-level security leaders, enterprise security operations teams, and outstanding channel partners across South Korea's leading enterprises.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or + 8+ years of technical sales / solutions engineering experience, OR
• Master's degree + 6+ years of validated experience, OR
• PhD or equivalent experience + 3+ years of validated experience.
• Validated pre-sales track record in a customer-facing technical role (SE, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant).
• Validated applied foundation in Security Operations (SOC), SIEM architecture, and detection engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• SecOps & SIEM Depth: Applied experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk SOAR, or equivalent enterprise SIEM/SOAR platforms; practical knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and TDIR lifecycles.
• Agentic AI & Automation: Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, API orchestration, LLM/GenAI integrations, and security automation.
• Observability & Cloud: Exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, or OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
• Data & Scripting: Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language), Python, SQL, or regex for data onboarding and normalization (CIM).
• Communication & Certifications: Strong executive presentation skills; business proficiency in Korean and English. Relevant certifications (Splunk Certified Admin/Architect, CISSP, Cloud Associate/Professional) are a plus.
