Job Description
Position Summary The Product Owner will be responsible for driving the roadmap, backlog, and delivery priorities across Salesforce, Snowflake, and MuleSoft. This role serves as the connection point between business stakeholders, technical delivery teams, and production support, ensuring platform initiatives are clearly defined, prioritized, and executed with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. The Product Owner will also serve as the primary point of contact for platform incidents, coordinating triage, escalation, stakeholder communication, recovery, and follow-up actions. The ideal candidate brings strong Product Ownership and Agile delivery experience combined with hands-on knowledge of enterprise platforms, integrations, data services, infrastructure, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Backlog Ownership: Own, refine, and prioritize the unified backlog across Salesforce, Snowflake, MuleSoft, and supporting platform infrastructure.
- Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a multi-quarter roadmap spanning platform enhancements, infrastructure development, technical debt, reliability improvements, and production support.
- Requirements & Engineering Readiness: Translate business and operational priorities into clearly defined epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Agile Delivery: Lead and support backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and dependency management across distributed teams.
- Cross-Platform Coordination: Coordinate capabilities across Salesforce, Snowflake, and MuleSoft, including environments, integrations, data pipelines, APIs, access, monitoring, deployment readiness, scalability, and resilience.
- Production Support: Act as a primary point of contact for platform incidents, coordinating triage, ownership, escalation, recovery, communication, root-cause follow-up, and corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with business, engineering, architecture, security, data, integration, and support teams to align priorities and communicate progress, risks, incidents, and decisions.
- Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Monitor backlog health, delivery predictability, incident trends, recovery performance, recurring defects, and corrective actions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Delivery Lead, or similar role supporting enterprise technology platforms.
- Proven experience owning technical or platform-focused backlogs and translating business and operational needs into engineering-ready work.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Snowflake, and MuleSoft, including platform environments, capabilities, integrations, and operational considerations.
- Experience with production support, incident management, escalation, root-cause follow-up, and service improvement.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and dependency management.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work-management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to provide clear incident and executive-level status updates.
- Ability to work independently across remote, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to maintain dependable availability and meaningful overlap with agreed business and delivery-team working hours.
- Product Owner certification such as CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, environment management, and release governance.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, APIs, integration middleware, data quality, and access controls.
- Experience supporting high-availability or business-critical enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of formal incident and problem-management practices.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple vendors, contractors, nearshore, and offshore teams.
- Understanding of IT service management and service-level reporting.
