PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a FAA Structural / Stress Engineer, in Chula Vista, CA. Job ID#217774

Pay Rate: $65-90/hr.

Job Description:

Responsible for performing structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems while working as an integrated team for design studies. Structural analysis includes development of finite element models and loads, and performing static, fatigue and vibration analysis via FEA and hand calculation.

o Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

• Experience with structural analysis (classical hand analysis and finite element skills)

• Structural load paths experience

• FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software experience

o Preferred qualifications

• Degrees preferred: Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural or similar

• Experience with any aircraft or space vehicle structures

• General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements

• NASTRAN or equivalent software's

• Experience working with international teams

• Background in composite material structure and design
