Job Description

Develop project specifications, obtain vendor quotes, build business cases, secure approvals, and manage large-scale capital projects including new buildings, expansions, site development, and equipment upgrades. Oversee plant utilities and drive continuous improvement through kaizen initiatives and major facility improvement projects. Partner with internal customers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Lead CO₂ reduction and energy management initiatives in support of the FYE50 zero-emissions goal. Manage and improve building management systems, including lighting, HVAC, and compressed air controls. Lead capital projects up to $5M in value. Serve as an Advanced/Trainer resource for capital expenditure project management and plant utilities (electrical, gas, water, and compressed air). Manage contractor activities and support the development of manufacturing, testing, and warehousing facilities. Provide technical oversight of HVAC systems, controls programming, energy management, and CO₂ reduction efforts. Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of docks, overhead doors, pedestrian doors, and plant aisles. Develop and maintain the facilities roadmap and long-term infrastructure plans.

Skills and Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical/industrial/electrical/construction management); a 2 year HVAC degree will also work 4-7 years hands-on facilities engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience managing and improving building management systems, including lighting, HVAC, and compressed air controls Experience with oversight of HVAC systems, controls programming, energy management, and knowledge of CO2 reduction efforts Experience managing capital projects anywhere in the range of $250k - $5 million in value Strong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands-on
