Proposal Writer (Pursuit Specialist) - Transportation/CEI

RK&K is seeking a Proposal Writer/Pursuit Specialist to work alongside engineers, scientists, planners, and environmental specialists who are solving some of today's most urgent transportation and construction challenges. In this role, you'll help develop compelling messaging and create persuasive proposals and presentations that showcase RK&K's expertise and value to clients. From managing proposals and crafting engaging content and interview materials, you'll play an important role in helping our teams win work that positively impacts communities. Lead and coordinate proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and interviews for transportation and construction engineering/inspection pursuits. 2. Facilitate pursuit planning meetings, schedules, assignments, and proposal reviews to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions. 3. Develop compelling, client-focused content that clearly communicates RK&K's experience, expertise, and value. 4. Collaborate with graphic designers and technical teams to create visually engaging and persuasive pursuit materials. 5. Maintain and enhance marketing content, project information, resumes, and pursuit collateral within the firm's CRM system (Deltek Vantagepoint). 6. Track upcoming opportunities within transportation markets. Required Skills and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or a related field. 2. Five (5) or more years of experience developing proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and marketing materials within the A/E/C industry. 3. Experience managing pursuits from kickoff through submission while coordinating multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines. 4. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills with exceptional attention to detail. 5. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. 6. Ability to translate technical information into clear, compelling, and client-focused messaging. 7. Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent pursuits in a fast-paced environment. 8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills and Experience 1. Experience supporting A/E/C transportation infrastructure pursuits. 2. Knowledge of CRM platforms, including Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint. 3. Experience supporting shortlist interviews and presentation development. 4. Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes.
