Senior Test Engineer

Aerospace Hardware Development | Full Lifecycle Testing & Qualification

We're seeking a Senior Test Engineer to play a critical role in the development, verification, validation, and qualification of advanced aerospace hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, highly engineered systems while partnering with talented multidisciplinary teams that are committed to innovation, quality, and technical excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead qualification, verification, and validation testing for advanced aerospace hardware systems.

  • Develop Qualification Test Plans (QTPs), Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs), test procedures, and technical reports.

  • Plan and execute environmental testing including vibration, thermal, shock, acceleration, reliability, and EMI/EMC testing.

  • Design and develop automated test systems, instrumentation setups, test fixtures, and supporting hardware.

  • Analyze test data, perform root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support system integration, troubleshooting, and hardware development activities.

  • Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams.

  • Support certification and qualification activities throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Lead test campaigns and provide technical guidance throughout planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

  • 8+ years of experience in Test Engineering, Qualification Engineering, Verification & Validation, or Integration & Test.

  • Experience developing and executing qualification or acceptance testing.

  • Strong understanding of test planning, test execution, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

  • Experience working with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, Defense, Avionics, Space, or other highly regulated industry experience.

  • Experience with environmental qualification testing including vibration, thermal, shock, acceleration, and EMI/EMC.

  • Experience with standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-461, DO-178, or DO-254.

  • Experience using DOORS or similar requirements management tools.

  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, or automated test equipment (ATE).

  • Test fixture, wire harness, or instrumentation development experience.

  • Previous technical leadership or Test Lead experience.

  • Active or previously held security clearance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Mukilteo, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $165000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
