WHO YOU ARE
In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure the continuous, reliable operation of critical facility systems that support Lockheed Martin’s mission and protect the work environment for our teams. You are a versatile maintenance professional who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of facility systems, interpret technical drawings, and work safely with hand and power tools while coordinating with supervisors and specialized trades. The General Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance across a broad range of facility systems and equipment. This position provides multi‑skilled maintenance support for work that does not require a dedicated electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or specialty trade resource.
The technician will document work activities in LMBuildings, identify follow‑up maintenance needs, and support safe, reliable operation of facility infrastructure and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities: performing scheduled preventive maintenance, facility and equipment inspections, minor repairs and installations, basic mechanical troubleshooting, filter and belt replacement, lubrication, adjustments, hardware repair, fixture replacement, minor material handling, and general facility service requests. The technician will respond to emergent maintenance needs, identify conditions requiring escalation to specialized trades or contractors, support maintenance outages and projects, and assist other technicians when additional manpower is required.

Basic Qualifications
-
Experience performing general maintenance in a commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, or campus environment.
-
Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment or building systems.
-
Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
-
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to identify when work requires escalation to a specialized trade.
-
Ability to interpret work orders, preventive maintenance instructions, equipment information, and basic technical documentation.
-
Ability to perform physical maintenance activities including lifting, climbing ladders, working in mechanical spaces, and working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
-
Ability to document completed maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system or similar work management system.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain required site access and security credentials.
-
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with other Facilities personnel and contractors.
Desired Skills
-
Multi-craft Facilities maintenance experience.
-
Experience supporting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, architectural, or general building maintenance activities.

Experience with pumps, motors, belts, bearings, filters, valves, doors, hardware, fixtures, and other common facility equipment.

Experience performing routine equipment inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs.

Familiarity with LMBuildings, Maximo, or another CMMS.

Experience supporting planned maintenance outages, facility projects, or contractor activities.

Familiarity with lockout/tagout and other Facilities maintenance safety practices.
-
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to recognize work outside personal qualifications or technical capability and appropriately escalate the issue.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
