Full job description

As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will lead development of detailed cost estimates for major pursuits with a strong focus on data center electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and mission-critical integration. This role is central to our data center growth strategy, supporting hyperscale and colocation developments where accuracy, speed, and constructability-driven estimating are critical to winning and executing high-value work. Responsibilities: 1. Lead estimating efforts for large-scale data center electrical projects, including hyperscale campuses, mission-critical facilities, and phased expansion programs 2. Develop detailed estimates for electrical power distribution systems, medium voltage infrastructure, substations, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and low-voltage systems common to data centers 3. Utilize Accubid estimating software (Trimble Accubid) as a primary tool for electrical takeoff, pricing, and database management 4. Review project requirements and coordinate with internal teams to produce accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates aligned with data center execution strategies and fast-track schedules 5. Oversee bid development across multiple stakeholders to ensure complete coverage of mission-critical scope, redundancy requirements, and uptime-driven constraints 6. Prepare and present proposals to clients, clearly communicating data center constructability, sequencing, and cost drivers 7. Develop conceptual through detailed budgets for hyperscale and colocation data center developments 8. Manage subcontractor and vendor engagement specific to data center electrical systems and long-lead equipment procurement 9. Mentor estimating staff on data center means and methods, including energized work constraints, phased turnover, and critical path sequencing 10. Maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and benchmarks within Accubid and related estimating systems, ensuring accuracy across repeatable data center models 11. Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, subcontractors, and clients within the data center ecosystem Education, Skills, Experience Needed: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and electrical construction experience 2. 15+ years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience in industrial electrical construction 3. Strong, demonstrable experience estimating large-scale data center projects (required) 4. Proficiency with Accubid (Trimble Accubid) required 5. Deep understanding of data center electrical systems, including: 6. Medium voltage distribution 7. UPS and backup generation systems 8. Switchgear and power distribution 9. Mission-critical redundancy design (N+1, 2N, etc.) 10. Phased construction in live/critical environments 11. Strong capability in cost analysis, estimating logic, and constructability evaluation for complex electrical systems 12. Proficiency with MS Office and additional tools (Bluebeam, HCSS, Primavera, MS Project preferred) 13. Strong communication skills with ability to present technical data center solutions to executive stakeholders 14. Proven leadership in fast-paced mission-critical/data center environments 15. Strong organizational ability to manage multiple large-scale data center bids simultaneously 16. High attention to detail, strong commercial judgment, and ability to anticipate risks in data center delivery models
