Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an ATM Service & Operations Engineer for a leading financial services client. This candidate will serve as the primary owner of the organization's ATM fleet, ensuring maximum uptime, operational efficiency, and an exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate will combine technical ATM infrastructure expertise with vendor management and operational oversight responsibilities. They will monitor ATM performance, troubleshoot outages, coordinate maintenance activities, support software and hardware upgrades, and drive strategic ATM lifecycle initiatives. This individual will work cross-functionally with operations teams, network vendors, branch technology partners, and leadership to improve service availability, reduce downtime, optimize costs, and support the future growth and modernization of the ATM program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with banking, credit union, fintech, or ATM managed services experience looking to take ownership of a highly visible self-service banking infrastructure environment.

Day to Day activities include:

  • Monitor ATM fleet health, availability, and performance
  • Respond to ATM outages and service disruptions
  • Troubleshoot ATM connectivity and transaction issues
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with third-party vendors
  • Manage ATM operational processes and documentation
  • Support software upgrades, patches, and ATM deployments
  • Analyze ATM performance metrics and recommend improvements
  • Perform process testing, simulations, and operational assessments
  • Manage vendor relationships and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Support debit card, deposits, withdrawals, lending, collections, and retail banking operations
  • Develop strategies to improve ATM uptime and member experience
  • Conduct lifecycle planning and hardware refresh initiatives
  • Prepare reports, proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments
  • Assist leadership with ATM modernization and expansion strategies
  • Collaborate with Remote Delivery and Digital Banking teams on ATM roadmap initiatives

This role is a 6-12 month contract to hire. Please note that while the salary range once converted full time is between $70,000 and $110,000 annually. These rates are subject to change based upon a variety of factors.

Skills and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with vendor management, including maintenance contracts, service calls, and product reviews
  • Understanding of branch technologies:
  • Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs)
  • Card Wizard Printers
  • Cash Flow Manager (CFM) systems
  • Experience supporting ATM operations and ITM operations
  • Strong communication skills with both leadership and technical teams
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational and service-related issues
  • Experience creating and maintaining operational documentation
  • Ability to perform risk analysis and cost-benefit analysis
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and vendors
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 5+ years of ATM administration experience
  • 2+ years of ATM networking experience
  • ATM lifecycle management experience
  • Knowledge of NCR/Atleos ATM platforms
  • Experience with VISA DPS network
  • Experience managing fleets of 25+ ATMs
  • ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) experience
  • Knowledge of ESQ
  • Experience with ATM monitoring and performance reporting tools
  • VPN, TCP/IP, WAN, routing, and transaction switching knowledge
  • Financial services, banking, credit union, or fintech industry experience
