  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, testing procedures, and commissioning documentation for compliance with contract requirements and applicable standards.

  • Conduct field inspections and technical assessments to verify electrical system installation, functionality, and readiness for testing and acceptance.

  • Witness and evaluate electrical equipment startups, factory and site acceptance testing, functional performance testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Review electrical testing results, including insulation resistance, grounding, protective relay testing, and other applicable performance verification procedures.

  • Coordinate with Government representatives, design engineers, construction managers, commissioning agents, and contractors to resolve technical issues and facilitate system acceptance.

  • Evaluate electrical system integration with mechanical equipment, building automation, emergency power, fire protection, and other facility systems.

  • Identify installation deficiencies, performance issues, and potential operational risks; recommend corrective actions and verify resolution.

  • Support the review of Requests for Information (RFIs), technical submittals, design changes, and contract modifications affecting electrical systems.

  • Review electrical system closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, training records, and commissioning reports.

  • Prepare technical inspection reports, deficiency lists, acceptance recommendations, and system readiness assessments to support Government decision-making.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience in electrical engineering, electrical systems construction, inspection, commissioning, or systems acceptance.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Knowledge of electrical system installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance procedures.

  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and construction quality assurance practices.

  • Ability to evaluate electrical system performance, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Government stakeholders, engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary construction management teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with construction documentation and commissioning software.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to satisfy applicable federal background investigation requirements.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience supporting Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), or similar federal construction and facilities programs.

  • Experience supporting Military Construction (MILCON), federal infrastructure modernization, or mission-critical facility projects.

  • Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), and applicable federal electrical engineering standards.

  • Experience with electrical systems commissioning, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
