Job Description
Position Summary Insight Global is hiring a Receiving Manager to support a power plant construction project in the Baytown, TX area. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing, issuing, and reporting on all materials delivered to the project site and offsite fabrication facilities.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and track all incoming project materials.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document and report shortages, overages, damaged, or incorrect materials (OSEDs).
- Assign receipt numbers and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize and manage warehouse, laydown yard, and storage locations.
- Maintain material tracking databases and inventory logs.
- Generate daily receiving reports and update material status reports.
- Scan, file, and maintain receiving documentation and purchase order records.
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams to resolve material discrepancies.
Skills and Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Receiving Manager (or similar position) on large-scale projects.
- Strong computer skills are a must, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
- Confident and proven ability to manage personnel.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Extensive walking may be required on some days. n/a
