Secret – Senior Backend Engineer (Rules and Registry)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, Rules and Registry to support a mission-application modernization program that unifies access across a portfolio of production applications: one sign-on, one work surface, and a repeatable pattern for onboarding applications to a shared platform, while the existing applications continue to run and are sustained by the same team, for a Department of War (DoW) customer. Rules and registry engineering: -Implement the DMN rules service (Kogito/kie) with hot reload, versioning, rollback, and policy tests. -Implement the capability-manifest schema, the conformance checks that gate admission, the registry that composes platform behavior from accepted manifests, and the change-impact preview.

Skills and Requirements

-Minimum Interim Secret Clearance -7+ years in backend engineering with rules engines, workflow, or configuration-driven platforms; JSON Schema, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI. -Experience with Kogito, Drools, or Camunda; Quarkus; contract testing.
