Job Title: Material Planner Country: United States Location:Duncan, SC Position Summary: Plan, order, control, and coordinate production related materials to guarantee a 100% uninterruptable supply with required materials to the assembly process. What you can look forward to as a Material Planner: - Plan and order material via SAP including MRP. - Negotiate and follow up with suppliers on lead - time of delivery and freight to control inventory. - Review MRP output and develop part purchasing schedules based on production requirements and associated activities and issue part purchasing schedules to suppliers to support a smooth operation. - Manage inventory including parts scheduling, fill rates, inventory levels in line with the plant goals and perform associated reporting. - Communicate with customers about forecast, investigation, ordering and information distribution. - Responsible for initial expediting of production material into the plant in accordance with schedule parameters. - Work with interfaces to develop and improve part planning methods and capacity utilization. - Improve delivery performance inbound, inventory turn rates and logistics costs.
