  • Take ownership of complex projects already in progress, quickly assessing current status, outstanding deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resource constraints, and critical path activities.

  • Develop, maintain, and actively manage comprehensive project plans covering scope, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, resources, budgets, deliverables, risks, and implementation timelines.

  • Partner with Program Management, Product, Operations, Technology, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, QA, and other stakeholders to align project execution with business objectives, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and modernization strategies.

  • Coordinate complex system integrations, testing, UAT, production readiness, implementation, cutover, and post production activities across multiple platforms and business functions.

  • Establish effective project governance and maintain clear accountability for decisions, deliverables, actions, and dependencies.

  • Proactively manage RAID items—Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies—driving mitigation plans, issue resolution, escalation, and timely decision making.

  • Prepare and deliver concise, executive level project reporting covering overall health, milestones, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming priorities.

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and financial performance while identifying potential delivery or financial risks early.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, technology providers, consultants, and internal delivery teams, ensuring contractual deliverables, dependencies, timelines, and quality expectations are clearly understood and achieved.

  • Facilitate project meetings, governance forums, working sessions, and executive discussions to drive alignment, accountability, and decisions.

  • Coordinate stakeholder communications and change activities to support successful implementation and adoption.

  • Lead delivery across geographically distributed teams, including U.S. based, offshore, and nearshore resources as applicable.

  • Apply the appropriate combination of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery practices based on project complexity, milestones, dependencies, and implementation requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, project controls, reporting, governance, and overall execution effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • 7–10+ years of project management experience, preferably within banking, financial services, fintech, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross functional initiatives involving Treasury, Payments, Wires, Fee Income, banking operations, or financial services technology.

  • Proven ownership of the complete project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, budgeting, resource management, critical path management, dependency management, risk mitigation, implementation, and closure.

  • Strong experience developing and maintaining detailed integrated project plans, milestone schedules, dependency plans, and implementation roadmaps.

  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, resources, and financial performance.

  • Strong experience coordinating complex technology integrations and delivery across Product, Operations, Engineering/Technology, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, QA, and other enterprise teams.

  • Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, production readiness, implementation/cutover, and post production stabilization activities.

  • Proven experience managing external vendors and technology providers, including deliverables, dependencies, issues, contractual commitments, implementation activities, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Strong understanding of RAID management, project governance, executive reporting, escalation management, and delivery controls.

  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, particularly for initiatives involving milestone based delivery across multiple technical and business workstreams.

  • Hands on experience with project and delivery management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps (ADO), ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence, or comparable platforms.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, facilitation, negotiation, and problem solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive accountability across complex, geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, SAFe, CSM, or another recognized project or Agile delivery certification.

  • Experience delivering large scale payments modernization, Treasury transformation, wire transfer, or banking platform initiatives.

  • Experience working with payment processing platforms, financial networks, banking integrations, or third party financial technology providers.

  • Experience managing projects with significant regulatory, compliance, audit, risk, or security requirements.

  • Experience joining complex initiatives already underway and successfully establishing delivery structure, governance, and momentum.
