Full job description
Our Home and Community Services (HCS) team is growing and looking for a Specialty Contract Monitor to join our team as a Social and Health Program Consultant 4.
In this role, you will monitor community residential providers for contractual compliance and accountability. You will also implement policies, procedures and evaluation methods while creating tools related to quality assurance and contract monitoring activities. This position covers Yakima, Benton, and Franklin counties.
This job requires frequent travel within the assigned region.

Some of What You'll Do• Lead staff by performing onsite compliance monitoring visits and quality assurance activities
- Develop procedures for the monitoring, tracking, and approving corrective actions
- Set monitoring timelines and priorities based on identified issues
- Monitor regional Adult Family Home, Assisted Living Facilities, and Behavior Support Providers using structured tools
What We're Looking For• Knowledge of contract requirements and demonstrated experience in contract monitoring
- Understanding of performance-based contracting
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make critical decisions and follow through with implementation
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Independent drive and motivation
- Experience and ability to comprehend behavior support
- Promote equity, anti-racism, and social justice commitment to your work with DSHS
Who Should Apply One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent.
Or Two years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 or equivalent.
Or A master's degree in social work, health or social science, public administration, or a related field • And, four years of professional experience planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs
Or A bachelor's degree in social work, health or social science, public administration, or a related field • And, five years of professional experience planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs
Or A combination of education and professional experience totaling at least nine years.
Note: A degree in social work must be from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
