GENERAL JOB DUTIES:Cleaning, painting and minor repair of crane components and accessories for Morrow Equipment Company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors in a professional business environment, demonstrating a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. * Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all personnel to ensure tasks are completed timely. * Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and respectful manner. * Demonstrates a can-do attitude by being self-driven, personable, and dependable. * Respectful and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication style to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings to everyone while performing for/or representing the Company. * Successful problem-solving skills, including the identification, resolution, prevention of problems, and being a good listener. * Detail-oriented with an ability to plan and prioritize work activities with a focus on quality and timeliness. * Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and is able to multi-task and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. * Ability to clean and prepare crane components. * Ability to overhaul and repair crane and hoists components using basic mechanics hand tools. * Ability to learn and operate shop machinery and power tools. * Ability to utilize proper rigging equipment. * Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on tools and shop equipment. * Ensure lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use. * Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, etc. * Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment. * Notifies the Shop Foreman or District Service Manager of unsafe conditions and/or practices. * Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company. * Ability to lift 50 pounds. * Ability to work at heights as required. * Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs. * Performance of other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Shop Foreman. ### RequirementsTECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES: * May be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification. * May be required to maintain a valid state drivers license and be insurable by the companys carrier. * May be required to have a forklift operators license. * May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification. * May be required to complete rigger/signaling training and/or may be required to complete rigging/signal person certification.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Average hours per week: Normal work schedule.Shift: As needed, this position occasionally requires you to work overtime in the shop or in the field, including some travel * Tools or equipment used for this position and frequency of use: Various * Percentage of time during normal workday the employee is required to:Sit 5% Stand 85% Walk 80% Lift 20%Squat 5% Bend 20% Twist 15% Crawl 0%Kneel 20% Drive 15% Climb 10% Reach over Shoulders-5%**All of these are required in various percentages that differ according to the project assigned. * Weight required to be lifted each normal workday: (Occasionally 1-33%, Frequently 34-66%, Continuously 67-100%)Occasional Frequently Continuously0-10 lbs.
