Java Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications for large-scale BFSI clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud Platforms, Kubernetes, and modern web technologies , with the ability to guide development teams through cloud-native transformations and complex integration initiatives. The role involves hands-on technical leadership, solution design, code quality governance, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

• Drive modernization of legacy and monolithic applications into scalable cloud-native solutions.

• Architect and develop RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations following best practices and security standards.

• Ensure application scalability, performance, reliability, and security across cloud environments.

• Support CI/CD, containerization, and Kubernetes-based deployments.

• Contribute to customer decisioning and personalization initiatives leveraging Pega platforms and emerging AI technologies where applicable.

What you need to have to be considered

• 10+ years of experience in Java application development with at least 2 years in a Technical Lead role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.

• Expertise in Microservices architecture and REST API development.

• Experience with Azure cloud services and container orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Strong knowledge of Node.js, Angular (13-16), and modern web application development.

• Experience leading application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 71100 to $ 112000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
