OhioMeansJobs | Lake County is accepting resumes for the following position: Position: Weld Trainer Location: Mentor, OH Hours: Full Time Pay: Based On Experience Position ID: 3296 POSITION SUMMARY The Weld Trainer will develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for new and existing welders. This position supports safe, efficient, and high-quality welding operations by providing instruction in welding processes, equipment setup, blueprint interpretation, quality standards, standard work, and workplace safety. The Weld Trainer will serve as a technical resource, coach, and mentor while partnering with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve welding performance, consistency, and employee development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, coordinate, and conduct welding training for new hires and current employees. Provide hands-on instruction in welding techniques, machine setup, fixture use, material preparation, weld symbols, and blueprint reading. Train employees on quality requirements, standard work, personal protective equipment, lockout/tagout, and other safety procedures. Evaluate employee skill levels through weld tests, direct observation, and performance assessments. Teach welders how to interpret and apply welding procedure specifications and AWS standards. Coach employees on workmanship, productivity, weld quality, rework reduction, and compliance with approved welding procedures. Maintain accurate training records, certification documentation, skills matrices, and employee progress reports. Assist with welder progression testing, refresher training, and recertification activities. Collaborate with production supervisors, Quality, and Engineering to identify training needs and process concerns. []{style="font-size: 12pt; fon "}
