Full job description

At the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential, we are laser-focused on improving opportunities and outcomes for Michiganders from preschool to postsecondary. MiLEAP was created by Governor Whitmer in July 2023 and is the newest department in the State of Michigan. This position will work in the Child Development and Care (CDC), Program Administration Support (PAS) section. Duties will include assisting the PAS Management with reviewing CDC provider applications received for accuracy, contacting providers for missing information, assigning and entering applications into database, and creating scanned provider files. The student position will also assist customers with questions related to provider enrollment, and general CDC program questions.

Position Description

The student must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution. Specific information on the education and experience required is in the job specification for the Student Assistant class. Student Assistant positions cannot exceed 129 working hours in a calendar month and must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term, providing proof of enrollment at the start of each term. Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
