Full job description
Our client, a leading automotive engineering and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician 2, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Operations team supporting engineering, testing, fabrication, and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Warren, MI
Pay Range: $25.85 - $29.54 per hour
What’s the Job?

Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to support testing and manufacturing activities.

Assist with the modification, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.

Prepare sketches, work orders, purchase requests, and technical documentation for fabrication and assembly projects.

Support fabrication, assembly, and testing requirements while coordinating engineering changes and design updates.

Inspect and evaluate technical drawings and tooling designs to ensure compliance with specifications and functional requirements.
What’s Needed?
-
Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical field.

2-4 years of experience in a mechanical technician, engineering technician, manufacturing, or testing environment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
-
Experience with engineering software, CAD applications, or drafting tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
