How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
As a Specialist in Network Scheduling, you will have the opportunity to build the future schedule that Delta flies. You will balance tradeoffs between commercial and operational constraints to optimally deploy Delta’s airplane assets to maximize the profitability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the design and development of Delta's narrowbody flightschedule
-
Serve as a scheduling expert able to identify possible solutions toall problems and understand the tradeoffs of each
-
Assist with training and development of new and less senior teammembers
-
Collaborate with the Route Planning team to achieve commercialobjectives while working in the confines of limited fleet, crew,and station resources
-
Anticipate Route Planner needs and seek Planner input proactivelywhen adjusting the schedule
-
Ensure hub bank connectivity, optimal patterns, and compliance withoperational standards, such as curfews, slots, gate constraints,crew duty periods, and maintenance requirements

Feel comfortable with ambiguity, understanding what tradeoffs tomake and when to make them
-
Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication across multiplegroups in the organization, including Network, Revenue Management,TechOps, Flight Ops, Integrated Ops Planning, and Airport CustomerService
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
-
5 years of related work experience required
-
BA/BS in Aviation Management, Finance, Statistics, Economics,Business, Management or related field
-
Strong data analysis and presentation skills, including proficiencyin Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
-
Knowledge of the airline industry, particularly knowledge ofDelta’s network and the Domestic competitive landscape
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and leverageresources across all divisions at Delta
-
Effective collaborator with the ability to excel in a fast-pacedand time-sensitive work setting while requiring minimal direction
-
Results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines withattention to detail and follow through
-
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in theUnited States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Prior work experience in Network Scheduling at an airline

Consulting, logistics, or project management experience
-
Advanced proficiency using and working in a Network Schedulingsoftware, such as Sabre AirVision or similar
