Job Assignment: May 2027 to September 2027

Hourly Rate: $25.00

Your Challenge

  • Assist in preparing formal Design Reports, structural calculation packages, and technical evaluations for safety-related nuclear power plant components.

  • Perform structural, stress, and fatigue analyses for components subjected to internal/external pressure, seismic events, thermal transients, operating dynamics, and external nozzle/piping loads.

  • Utilize ANSYS to construct finite element models, apply boundary conditions, run simulations, and post-process stress results.

  • Review, interrogate, and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks to ensure analytical accuracy and design feasibility.

  • Interface directly with the design engineering team to propose geometry modifications, material considerations, and structural enhancements that satisfy customer specifications and regulatory codes (e.g., ASME Section III / BPVC).

  • Verify numerical models using classical closed-form hand calculations and engineering fundamentals.

Your Skills
