Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join a premier Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, and MedSpa practice in Vero Beach, Florida. This individual will play a key role in supporting cosmetic surgery patients throughout their entire care journey, from pre-operative evaluations through post-operative recovery. The ideal candidate is someone who prioritizes patient care over volume, helping patients feel calm, comfortable, and reassured throughout the surgical process. This position offers exposure to cosmetic surgery, wellness services, dermatology procedures, and medspa treatments while working in a state-certified on-site operating room alongside an experienced clinical team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, intake, and collection of medical data including vital signs and medical histories
  • Prepare patients for cosmetic and elective surgical procedures
  • Provide post-operative patient monitoring and recovery support
  • Assist surgeons and clinical staff during procedures and examinations
  • Set up procedure rooms and maintain sterile fields during surgical cases
  • Support pre-operative and post-operative patient appointments on clinic days
  • Maintain accurate documentation in their EMR system (Nextech)
  • Obtain patient photographs for treatment planning and medical records
  • Educate patients on procedures, recovery expectations, and wellness services
  • Coordinate patient flow between clinic, operating room, and recovery suites
  • Assist with injectables, wound care, IV therapy, and cosmetic surgery support as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and providers to ensure a high-touch patient experience
  • Participate in practice events, promotions, and educational activities
  • Cross-train on wellness and medspa services

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, surgery center, operating room, procedural, or hospital setting
  • Experience documenting within an EMR system
  • Strong patient care and assessment skills
  • Comfortable working in OR & clinic setting
  • Ability to make patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment journey
  • Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Dermatology, MedSpa, PACU, ASC, OR, or Surgical Services experience
  • Pre-op and post-op patient care experience
  • Experience assisting with procedures and maintaining sterile technique
  • IV therapy experience
  • Phlebotomy experience or certification
  • Experience recovering patients following elective surgical procedures
  • Familiarity with aesthetic medicine workflows
