Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations through process improvement, facility planning, labor analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing efficient production processes, optimizing plant layouts, supporting equipment installations and product launches, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain plant layouts and manufacturing concepts for new and existing processes

Maintain accurate CAD layouts of the facility to support future planning and expansion activities

Design, source, quote, order, and expedite material handling equipment

Conduct methods and workflow analyses to identify and implement the most effective tools, equipment, and processes

Support training initiatives for industrial engineering and supervisory personnel

Establish and audit labor standards using predetermined time systems and stopwatch labor measurement techniques

Analyze labor utilization and productivity data; identify and implement corrective actions as needed

Prepare data and analysis to support capital expenditure evaluations and investment decisions

Research and implement new manufacturing technologies and industry best practices

Review and analyze daily labor reports to drive continuous improvement

Support product launches, equipment installations, and manufacturing process improvements

Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve operational performance

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered

Minimum of 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering experience

Experience developing manufacturing layouts and workflow improvements

Proficiency with CAD software and facility layout design

Knowledge of labor standards development and labor measurement systems

Experience analyzing productivity, labor efficiency, and operational performance metrics

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills

Ability to support cross-functional teams and manufacturing operations

Strong communication and organizational skills

Experience supporting product launches, equipment implementation, or capital projects preferred

Preferred Experience

Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience

Material handling equipment design and implementation

Continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or operational excellence initiatives

Capital equipment justification and ROI analysis

Labor balancing and workforce optimization

This Position is for 1st Shift- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
