Description

Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.

As a Nurse Supervisor, you will provide nursing leadership within a highly acute behavioral health residential treatment setting Job duties include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day nursing operations, staffing coordination, nursing practice oversight, regulatory readiness, medication management processes, and clinical support services for the inpatient residential treatment program

  • Providing direct supervision, coaching, mentorship, and operational support to nursing staff and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary leadership to ensure safe, effective, trauma-informed, and compliant behavioral health treatment services

  • Supporting nursing quality improvement activities, infection prevention efforts, staff development, adherence to organizational policies, nursing standards of practice, and regulatory requirements

  • Working in partnership with the Statewide Nurse Manager to support nursing operations, quality initiatives, accreditation readiness, workforce development, and implementation of statewide nursing standards and practices

  • Participating in nursing operational coverage and providing clinical and administrative support as needed to ensure continuity of care and safe staffing operations

Additional Details:

  • Salary: $95,000 - $104,500

  • Full Time Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm with additional coverage as needed (staff call outs) *Schedules are subject to change

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions required

  • Two (2) years of full-time related experience

  • One (1) year related supervisory experience; one (1) year direct employee supervisory experience preferred

  • Experienced in child/adolescent psychiatric facility preferred

  • Experienced interacting with children of all ages in a supportive, professional manner and ensuring confidentiality

OTHER:

  • Ability to attend full time new hire orientation (paid)

  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results

  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check

  • Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice: If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
