Job Description : Entry Level Security Installation Technician

Key Responsibilities

Following successful training, technicians will be responsible for:

• Installing, programming, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining security systems.

• Working with burglar alarms, CCTV systems (IP and analog), DVRs, and access control systems.

• Upgrading legacy security systems and integrating new technologies.

• Installing and servicing door contacts, window sensors, motion detectors, smoke detectors, and related devices.

• Running and terminating low-voltage cabling.

• Testing equipment, diagnosing signal or connectivity issues, and ensuring proper system performance.

• Educating customers on system functionality, mobile applications, and equipment features.

• Providing professional, customer-focused service during all installations and service calls.

• Completing required service documentation and maintaining accurate records.

• Managing vehicle inventory and company equipment.

• Meeting quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction standards while minimizing return visits and callbacks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAT5, CAT6, or other low-voltage cabling.

• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and electronic systems.

• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, alarm systems, or telecommunications equipment.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Previous installation, field service, technical support, or customer-facing experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
