Job Summary

Church & Dwight is seeking an Associate Vice President (AVP), Marketing to join Touchland. This role is responsible for leading the U.S. domestic and international marketing strategy, brand stewardship, innovation, and go-to-market execution for the Touchland brand. Reporting directly to the Global Vice President and General Manager of Touchland, the AVP, Marketing will own the full marketing engine—from brand storytelling and product innovation to performance marketing and retail activation—with accountability for revenue growth, channel efficiency, and cross-functional execution.

About the Role

The Associate Vice President (AVP), Marketing will lead Touchland's integrated marketing strategy across brand, product marketing, innovation, performance, retail, and international markets. This position will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on player-coach, leading a lean team of marketing professionals while personally driving key initiatives and partnering closely with Sales, Digital & Connected Commerce, Operations, Finance, Product, and international teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong brand-building expertise with a demonstrated ability to drive measurable commercial growth. This leader will translate consumer, cultural, retail, and performance insights into compelling brand strategies and actionable go-to-market plans while operating with speed, resourcefulness, and a hands-on approach in a high-growth environment.

Work Environment

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Ewing, NJ or New York City.

  • Ewing, NJ requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

  • New York City requires in-person attendance on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, with remote work options on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Full-Funnel Marketing Ownership: Build and execute an integrated brand-to-performance marketing strategy across awareness, acquisition, retention, and retail.

  • Ensure consistent brand positioning, storytelling, messaging, and creative execution across campaigns, retail, partnerships, and consumer touchpoints.

  • Oversee performance marketing, paid media, customer acquisition efficiency, attribution, and ongoing performance optimization.

  • P&L and Revenue Accountability: Own U.S. marketing forecasting, budgeting, and revenue targets, partnering with Digital & Connected Commerce and International teams to align commercial plans and performance.

  • Build reporting frameworks that translate marketing activity and investment into measurable business impact.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Digital & Connected Commerce, International Markets, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to align demand planning, channel performance, and commercial priorities.

  • Integrated Planning and Product Go-to-Market: Lead product go-to-market strategy from positioning and launch planning through execution and post-launch optimization.

  • Build annual and quarterly marketing plans with clear objectives, KPIs, channel strategies, and resource requirements.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Retail, Creative, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful product launches.

  • Develop customer line review presentations and ensure appropriate product, merchandising, marketing, and commercial support for key launches.

  • Use consumer, market, cultural, and performance data to inform decisions while maintaining strong brand and storytelling instincts.

  • Innovation Pipeline and Execution: Lead brand innovation strategy, including consumer insights, ideation, development, commercialization, and execution.

  • Drive new product development and category expansion initiatives, including fragrance strategy, channel-specific packs, holiday and event programs, partnerships, and collaborations.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop the marketing leadership team while establishing clear roles, responsibilities, ways of working, and performance expectations.

  • Establish development plans and preliminary succession planning to support the growth of the organization.

  • Operate as a player-coach, personally executing key work as needed, including briefs, presentations, performance optimization, analysis, and strategic planning.

  • Build scalable marketing processes and operating models that support growth without adding unnecessary complexity or organizational layers.

  • Retail Activation: Develop retail marketing programs that support awareness, conversion, and sell-through at key retail partners.

  • Own in-store storytelling, merchandising strategy, and retail launch plans in partnership with Commercial and Sales teams.

  • Support international markets with localization strategies while maintaining global brand consistency across messaging, creative, and channel mix.

  • Build scalable frameworks for market localization across messaging, creative, media, and channel strategy.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, founders, Sales, Operations, Finance, Commercial teams, agencies, and external partners.

  • Operate effectively in a lean, high-growth environment by leveraging broader Church & Dwight resources and functional expertise while maintaining hands-on ownership of key initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, consumer products, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in CPG, digitally native, beauty, lifestyle, or other consumer-focused brands.

  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing strategies across brand and performance channels.

  • Experience owning or significantly influencing revenue, marketing budgets, go-to-market strategy, and business performance.

  • Experience leading product launches, innovation initiatives, and omnichannel marketing programs.

  • Experience managing and developing marketing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a lean, high-growth environment while remaining hands-on.

  • Strong understanding of retail marketing, consumer insights, digital commerce, and performance marketing.

  • Experience scaling a consumer brand from approximately $100 million to $300 million or greater.

  • Experience with international markets and global brand management.

  • Experience across both domestic and international go-to-market strategies preferred.

  • Experience in digitally native, beauty, lifestyle, or high-growth consumer brands preferred.

  • Experience developing channel-specific products, partnerships, collaborations, and innovation programs preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $220,800–$314,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

As a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. You are also able to participate in our 401k retirement plan (with company match and profit-sharing) and Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
