Job Purpose Summary

As a Product Manager, Global Upstream Marketing , you will support the strategy, development, and global lifecycle management of Corza’s wound closure portfolio. Working under the guidance of senior upstream marketing leadership, you will help gather market and clinical insights, contribute to business cases and product requirements, and partner with R&D, Clinical, RA/QA, Supply Chain, and regional commercial teams to help bring new solutions to market. This is a growth-oriented role for an early-career marketer looking to build deep expertise in upstream product marketing and new product development. The ideal candidate pairs a solid clinical and technical curiosity with strong analytical and organizational skills, and is eager to translate market insights into actionable inputs for product strategy.

What you will do

Portfolio Support & Product Development

  • Support the development of the global upstream strategy, including portfolio roadmap and line-extension activities for the wound closure business, under the direction of senior marketing leadership.

  • Help identify unmet customer needs, emerging clinical trends, and competitive activity through voice-of-customer (VOC), KOL touchpoints, and secondary market research.

  • Contribute to business cases for new product development (NPD), assisting with market sizing, financial inputs, value proposition definition, and commercialization assumptions.

  • Help prepare upstream deliverables for the ACE/PDP process (e.g., MRD/PRD inputs, claims support, risk assessment inputs), ensuring they meet cross-functional requirements.

  • Partner with R&D to document product requirements, participate in prototype evaluations, and confirm technologies align to targeted clinical and economic needs.

  • Support lifecycle management activities, including SKU rationalization, value engineering, and product enhancement initiatives.

Market Insight & Competitive Intelligence

  • Develop working knowledge of global market trends, competitive offerings, and clinical drivers across key surgical specialties.

  • Assist in coordinating advisory boards, surgeon interviews, field-shadowing, and market research to inform upstream strategy and NPD prioritization.

  • Maintain competitive claims assessments and help articulate clinical and economic value propositions for new innovations.

  • Summarize insights into clear findings that support opportunity identification, positioning, and product development recommendations.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Project Support

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional product teams, helping to keep R&D, Clinical, RA/QA, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional commercial partners aligned.

  • Track upstream milestones and deliverables to help ensure program timelines are met.

  • Work with RA/QA to compile inputs for claims strategy, regulatory pathways, and risk/benefit assessments.

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to gather feasibility, cost, manufacturing readiness, and scalability information.

  • Support Clinical in organizing evidence-generation activities that strengthen clinical claims and market positioning.

Commercial & Launch Support

  • Provide early inputs to downstream teams to support launch planning and market adoption.

  • Help develop segmentation, targeting, and positioning inputs for new products.

  • Assist in aligning global regions (US, EMEA, China) around consistent value propositions and commercial readiness needs.

  • Contribute upstream insights that inform pricing, forecasting, and launch sequencing.

Customer & KOL Engagement

  • Help build and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinical advisors, and early adopters to support NPD, claims development, and product evaluation.

  • Assist in coordinating surgeon labs, prototype evaluations, and field trials to validate product concepts and gather clinical feedback.

  • Capture and organize clinical feedback to feed into iterative product development and global strategy.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA a plus.

  • 2–5 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or a related commercial/technical role, preferably within medical devices or healthcare.

  • Foundational understanding of surgical workflows, wound closure technologies, and/or clinical evaluation processes, with a strong willingness to learn.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exposure to new product development, business case development, or portfolio strategy through prior roles, internships, or coursework.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with comfort working in spreadsheets and building clear summaries.

  • Good communication and presentation skills with both technical and commercial audiences.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis is required.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15–20% for customer research, advisory boards, field visits, and cross-functional meetings.

What we value

  • Customer First - We deliver extraordinary experiences.

  • Accountability - We do what we say.

  • Integrity - We do what is right.
