Financial Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support retail operations through thoughtful analysis, reporting, and business insight to the business. This position will help leaders understand financial performance, identify trends, and guide decisions that improve profitability and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid grasp of financial modeling, and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial results and operating metrics to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities across the business.

• Build and maintain financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.

• Prepare recurring and on-demand reports for leadership, translating complex data into practical business insight.

• Investigate variances between actual performance and plan, and explain key drivers behind changes in results.

• Use data mining techniques to extract meaningful information from large datasets and support strategic decision-making.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and improve the accuracy of financial analysis.

• Monitor business performance indicators and recommend actions that support revenue growth and cost control.

Requirements • Experience in financial analysis within a corporate, retail, or similarly fast-paced environment.

• Strong capability in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical problem-solving.

• Proven ability to perform ad hoc analysis and deliver timely recommendations to stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience with variance analysis and performance reporting.

• Proficiency in working with large datasets and applying data mining techniques to uncover trends.

• Advanced spreadsheet skills and comfort using financial or business intelligence systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
