Summary

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA- ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION AND INNOVATION CENTER- BUSINESS SUPPORT OFFICE.

Duties

  • Provides guidance and support on the government travel program to include the DTS and the Government Travel Card program. Responsibilities include ensuring coordination, accuracy, adequacy, and timeliness of all suspense items.
  • Serves as a Government Purchase Card holder and is responsible for processing and maintaining all records, justifications and required paperwork necessary for maintaining an auditable record of funds expended.
  • Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Contributes to maintaining the integrity of the organization; displays high standards of ethical conduct and understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self, and others; is trustworthy.
  • Serves as a Contract-Level Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and maintains required COR certification.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-05, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience assisting with administrative support duties, such as tracking deadlines, maintaining files, or monitoring suspense dates for office tasks or travel programs; OR utilizing basic customer service and interpersonal skills to answer inquiries, resolve routine problems, and provide information/assistance to clients; OR performing work requiring a high level of attention to detail, such as checking documents, invoices, or records for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to procedures; OR inputting/verifying routine financial, procurement, or administrative data into electronic systems/spreadsheets. To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience providing guidance and technical support on travel policies and programs, including utilizing automated systems to assist users with travel cards, vouchers, or travel coordination; OR processing transactions and maintaining organized, auditable files; OR assisting with contract tracking, monitoring vendor performance, or providing administrative support to a team to ensure contract compliance; OR coordinating, tracking, and ensuring the timely completion and accuracy of administrative suspense actions, reports, or program tasks; OR resolving complex customer inquiries, providing troubleshooting assistance, and building effective relationships with diverse internal or external stakeholders. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. Education

GG-05 Substitution of Education for Experience: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. GG-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. Accepting this position, you may be required to serve a three year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Management has the prerogative to select at either grade level. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to target position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
