Business Operations & Procurement Coordinator

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Operations & Procurement Coordinator to support a major expansion within the fiber, data center, and technology infrastructure space across the Phoenix market.

Our client is a leading fiber infrastructure and connectivity provider that builds and operates high-capacity networks connecting businesses, data centers, cloud environments, and other critical technology infrastructure.

The organization is making a major investment in the Phoenix market, developing next-generation fiber infrastructure designed to support the continued growth of hyperscale data centers, cloud connectivity, and AI-driven network demand.

This position will sit directly within that growing operation and help keep the business side of these projects moving.

This is not a technical engineering position. It is a great opportunity for someone with a background in business operations, procurement, purchasing, accounts payable, project coordination, or administrative operations who wants to break into the growing data center and technology infrastructure industry.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare, submit, and track purchase orders and related documentation

  • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation

  • Follow up on outstanding purchase orders, invoices, approvals, and documentation

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and ensure required documentation and approvals are completed

  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, purchasing needs, documentation, and operational requirements

  • Assist with ordering and tracking materials, equipment, and supplies supporting ongoing infrastructure projects

  • Maintain accurate purchasing, vendor, invoice, and operational records

  • Perform data entry and maintain organized electronic files and project documentation

  • Help resolve discrepancies involving invoices, purchase orders, materials, and supporting documentation

  • Track materials and equipment and communicate status updates to project and operations teams

  • Support day-to-day administrative needs for project and operations teams

  • Coordinate office supplies, facility needs, repairs, and maintenance

  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, document preparation, and internal communications

  • Work closely with procurement, finance, operations, project management, and other internal departments

  • Help identify missing documentation or administrative issues that could delay purchasing, vendor onboarding, or project activities

  • Learn and utilize internal systems, tools, and processes supporting hyperscale operations

  • Provide additional operational and administrative support as projects continue to grow

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in business operations, procurement, purchasing, accounts payable, project coordination, office operations, or administrative support

  • Hands-on experience working with purchase orders, vendor invoices, purchasing processes, or vendor documentation

  • Experience communicating and coordinating with external vendors

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Strong attention to detail when working with invoices, POs, documentation, and data

  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business systems

  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through completion

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups

  • Experience within telecom, fiber, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or data centers is a plus, but not required

Why This Opportunity

This is more than a traditional administrative coordinator position. You will have the opportunity to support the operational backbone of major infrastructure projects tied to the continued expansion of data centers, fiber networks, cloud connectivity, and AI-related technology demand.

The organization is actively investing in the Phoenix market and building infrastructure that will connect major data center locations throughout the region.

For someone coming from purchasing, accounts payable, procurement, operations, or project coordination, this is an opportunity to take that experience into the data center and technology infrastructure industry without needing to come from a technical engineering background .

The ideal person is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with vendors and financial documentation, and someone who takes ownership of making sure things get completed correctly and on time.

This is a 100% on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona.

I kept the company anonymous but made the fiber/data center/AI infrastructure story a much bigger part of the sell so candidates understand why the opportunity is interesting.
