Job Description

The Project Coordinator supports project managers throughout the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects by coordinating documentation, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring accurate tracking of project progress and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in all phases of commercial construction projects, from initiation through closeout.

  • Coordinate requests for information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and other project documentation to ensure timely review and approval.

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep all parties aligned on project requirements and timelines.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of project documents, correspondence, and updates in accordance with established procedures.

  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables, and provide updates to project managers and other stakeholders as needed.

  • Assist with scheduling activities, including organizing and scheduling project meetings and coordinating participant availability.

  • Manage project closeout packages, ensuring that all required documentation is collected, completed, and delivered on time.

  • Support general project administration tasks to help maintain efficient and compliant project operations.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination within a commercial construction environment.

  • Strong background in construction administration and document control.

  • Proficiency in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.

  • Ability to schedule and coordinate project meetings with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration among field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelors degree in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, business, or a related discipline.

  • Experience with project administration processes and procedures.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing project priorities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
