Summary:
Functions as an OR Care Technician based upon skills acquired through surgical technology coursework of a Surgical Technologist Apprentice Program. Works under the direction and supervision of a Surgical Technologist – Certified Preceptor or a Surgical Technologist – Non Certified Preceptor. Must be enrolled in the BayCare Surgical Technologist Apprentice school program.

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate or GED Equivalent (HS/GED).

Meets the requirements of the OR Care Technician job description.

Completed basic principles of surgical technology coursework in a Surgical Technologist program.

Must be enrolled in the BayCare Surgical Technologist Apprentice school program.

Skills designated under the Surgical Technologist Apprentice framework must be validated upon hire or transfer.
