Overview
Come join the QuickBooks Small Business Marketing Team as a Principal Product Marketing Manager. Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) delivers a portfolio of solutions that help businesses thrive at every stage of growth, from solopreneurs to mid-market, across accounting, payroll, time tracking, payments, bill pay and lending.
Simple Start, Essentials and Plus are our core small business products, complemented by emerging mid-market solutions and solopreneur offerings. This role is a strategic leadership role for someone who will go deep on what has to be true inside these products for the businesses that run on them to keep choosing QuickBooks, and who can turn that into prioritized, evidenced direction for the product teams that build it.
Responsibilities
-
Partner with product to define the multi-year strategy for core QuickBooks: Set the strategic direction for where Simple Start, Essentials and Plus must go to win, shaping the bets that drive long-term competitive position and growth on the surface through which most small businesses experience QuickBooks.
-
Establish what it takes to win the job, not just the customer: Build the deepest view in the company of how the accounting and operating workflows actually run across the core offerings, benchmarked against how competitors and non-FMS alternatives complete the same jobs, and turn that into the capability bets that determine whether customers stay and grow.
-
Shape the roadmap at the strategic level: Partner with product leadership across the teams that touch these workflows to prioritize around the bets that matter most for long-term competitive position.
-
Drive cross-functional alignment: Act as the connective tissue between product, marketing and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategic direction and key decisions across the teams that each own a piece of the core experience.
-
Build the business case for the future state: Develop the insight and narrative that supports where core QuickBooks should go next, and present that point of view to senior audiences.
-
Set the bar for the experience customers already pay for: Define what good looks like for the foundational capabilities customers judge us on, and hold the organization to it through the Foundations agenda.
Qualifications
-
BA/BS required, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience
-
12+ years in product marketing, product strategy or management consulting, with a demonstrated track record of owning multi-year strategy; SMB SaaS experience strongly preferred
-
Demonstrated depth in workflow or capability analysis: able to take a product apart at the job level and show, with evidence, where it fails the customer
-
Proven ability to define and defend long-range strategic bets using market intelligence and customer insight, with the judgment to sequence them pragmatically
-
Experience working directly with product management teams, including influencing roadmaps owned by others
-
Demonstrated track record influencing stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization
-
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with comfort presenting at executive business reviews
-
Demonstrated ownership, independent judgment and comfort operating in ambiguity
-
Fluent in a range of AI tools with demonstrable experience incorporating them into your workflow
