Full job description
- Directly supervises all toolroom personnel to obtain the most favorable costs and highest quality workmanship. - Maintain the established maintenance programs that successfully care for all tools to prevent quality and productivity problems. - Maintain tool improvement program that is data driven and successful in providing ongoing improvement related to die and tool performance. - Analyze machining and tooling problems and coordinate corrective action. - Provide instruction and guidance in the use of tool room equipment. - Maintains harmonious employer/associate relations among those within the department. - Assesses training needs of associates in department and recommends opportunities for development. - Participates in tool room associate relations activities from performance evaluations, to discipline, to hiring activities. - Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. - Directs CI improvement projects/meetings. - Direct, lead, and maintain team's 5S excellence and adherence. - Performs activities of associates supervised. - Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
