Respiratory Therapist

SageWest Health Care is located in Fremont County, Wyoming, encompassing two hospitals, one in Riverton and one in Lander. Each offers a wide range of healthcare services, including inpatient medical services, emergency room services, surgical services, imaging services, laboratory diagnostic services, primary care, infusion services, and women's health. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for safely and effectively administering all phases of respiratory care per departmental procedures. In this role you will: Performs accurate patient assessment for respiratory care, reviews patient information and recommends appropriate therapy to the ordering physician. Administers respiratory medications via SVN, MDI & DPI, performs cardiopulmonary testing (EKG, PFT), sets up, maintains, and manages non invasive positive pressure devices and ventilators. Records accurate therapy and medication administration in medical record timely. Educates patients on respiratory care procedures. Records therapy and medication administration electronically. Qualifications Required Licenses Respiratory Therapist - Certified Respiratory Care Therapist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist .May be either a Certified Technician or a Registered Therapist. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care preferred. Required Skills Current BLS certification through American Heart Association ACLS current certification PALS current certification or within 90 days of hire NRP current or within 90 days of hire ** Work Experience** Minimum 2+ years Critical Care experience preferred. Minimum 2+ years experience in a Respiratory Department preferred
