Job Description

The Analytics Lead owns the data model, business metrics, and executive reporting strategy for a large-scale customer and channel insights platform. This person serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams, defining trusted KPIs, building dashboards, validating data quality, and delivering actionable insights to leadership. The ideal candidate combines hands-on analytics engineering skills with executive storytelling capabilities and can confidently transform complex data into business decisions.

  • Own Channel Insights reporting, KPI definitions, dimensions, and reporting standards
  • Develop and maintain Tableau Next dashboards and analytical reporting solutions
  • Build calculated insights and analytical models using Data 360 and associated data platforms
  • Write SQL and SOQL queries to validate reporting logic and investigate data issues
  • Partner with Product Owners, Data Experts, and Engineering teams to establish trusted business metrics
  • Define and maintain reporting refresh schedules and data quality standards
  • Identify and resolve reporting inconsistencies by tracing issues to upstream data sources
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and business insights to leadership stakeholders
  • Create meaningful narratives around key trends, risks, and business opportunities
  • Train field, sales, and business users on dashboard utilization and data interpretation
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate data exploration, SQL development, insight generation, and reporting documentation
  • Automate anomaly detection and reporting commentary where appropriate
  • Ensure all reported metrics are validated and trustworthy before executive review

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of Analytics Engineering, BI Development, Analytics Consulting, or Analytics Leadership experience

  • Advanced Tableau expertise (or equivalent enterprise BI platform)

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and dashboard development

  • Experience defining business metrics, KPIs, dimensions, and reporting standards

  • Experience building executive and operational dashboards

  • Ability to validate data quality and investigate discrepancies back to source systems

  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills

  • Experience translating complex datasets into actionable business recommendations

  • Executive-level presentation and storytelling capabilities

  • Experience partnering with business users, data engineers, and data modelers Experience leveraging AI tools for SQL/data set draft and insight narratives

  • Salesforce CRM Analytics

  • Data 360

  • Tableau Next

  • Experience with customer, partner, dealer, distributor or channel analytics

  • Manufacturing, HVAC, or distribution experience
